An example is Vasterbottensost, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed cheeses yet unknown outside Sweden. In 2010 as part of a Swedish trade initiative the cheese was sold and displayed at the London Oxford Street John Lewis food hall. Impact was briefed to raise awareness of this famous Swedish cheese with the plan to encourage Waitrose and Ocado to stock the Cheese going forward.

By talking of Swedish Cookery and dining being the “new cuisine sweeping the UK” the agency achieved readership of over 20 million. Coverage was achieved in the national and London media. The cheese successfully gained a listing in Waitrose and Ocado and a further short consumer campaign established its on-going presence in store.
